Isabelle has wanted a dog since she was old enough to ask for one. She has asked, begged, pleaded and more and Ben and I have just not been able to wrap our head around the idea of being dog owners. Luckily for Isabelle, Grandpa has had a similar desire and after the two of them made a quick visit to a dog shelter we were soon introduced to the newest member of the family. His name is Kenai, Kee for short, and he is a 3 year old white German Shepherd. He has been sick with heartworm, so he is mellow and slow most of the time and perfect for little girls to learn to care for. Isabelle is beyond smitten and Olivia is warming up quick. The girls are loving being "dog owners" and it is a perfect situation for their parents. Thank goodness for Grandpas!
