Viva with Aunt Tara!

The girls heard that the Arthur Murray 2016 SuperRama was in Las Vegas this year and began petitioning their dad to skip school and go months before the event. Fortunately for them, Ben is a sucker and so mid August we pulled the girls early one week and boarded a plane to the Sin City. Soon we were walking down the strip and made our home in none other than The Bellagio for several days and nights.

The girls loved the busyness of the city, which we knew they would, and the Paris Hotel may win 1st place for their favorite spot. We ate at several of the hotels and played at the arcade, attended a magic show and walked 20,000 steps a day. The girls loved helping Aunt Tara in the ballroom as well and looked cute and professional as they gathered score cards and arranged trophies, etc.

It was a pretty awesome escape from the routines at home and being treated to a room and all the gelato we could eat at the Bellagio was icing on the cake. The girls were bummed to return back to home once again but like I tell them every time we vacation...If we don't ever go home, we can't enjoy our next adventure.

Back to September Routines

September was a month full of back to school activities and playdates. It was still summer HOT and Isabelle dripped buckets of sweat on the soccer field and we all melted at the Aquarium Labor Day weekend. Girl Scouts and ballet were back in full swing and Olivia looked tiny when she moved up to the Intermediate class at Woodlands Civic Ballet. We started piano lessons at home for both girls and while I love it, they aren't fans. I snuck away for a weekend with the Bee's where we enjoyed a few days in the Arizona mountains and the whole family had a blast at the USA Gymnastic Tournament of Champions Tour. Getting back into routines and schedules has its pros and cons I would say.
