May-hem

May wore me out this year. The month was jam packed with school presentations. We had music programs, GT Showcases, 4th Grade Wax Museums, Kindergarten Water Day, Field Day and the list goes on. Sadly it was almost so much at once that at times it was simply too much! We survived though and I had my phone with me to document it.

Of course we couldn't run ourselves ragged without a few germs as well. Olivia had strept again for the 3rd time of the school year and both girls had antibiotics and fevers for various reasons. In between germs, we finished up an almost undefeated soccer season, Olivia and Ben attended the Daisy Scout Daddy Daughter Dance, we went to ballet weekly and found a few moments to play with friends. Grammie came in town from Montana and we celebrated her birthday, cheered for our very own Olivia as The Old Woman Who Lives in a Shoe, attended cousin Anna's baptism and finished the year of Girl Scouts. Isabelle made hairbows (Belle's Bows) for the 4th grade economics fair, was Angelina the Native American for the Wax Museum and both girls had a blast at Field Day with their besties. Olivia had an awful ENT visit with both a scope and an Xray, Isabelle presented both to the school and the district for GT and we celebrated surviving the month in Galveston for Memorial Day with the Martins. It was a good month of accomplishments and totally exhausting. MAYhem sounds about right!

A spring like April

April was beautiful in Texas this year. It usually is super muggy and hot by now but this time we almost enjoyed real spring like weather...almost. Other than our trip to Costa Rica at the beginning of the month, in April we spent our days mostly outside. First, I chaperoned Olivia's first school field trip at the Texas Oil Ranch. She loved taking the day off school and playing with her friends and I loved spending the day with her. On that same day my baby also lost her first tooth! It was a memorable day for our little Livi. Isabelle continued to thrive on the soccer field and both girls loved the rainy weather. We visited the Recycling Center with Girl Scouts, played with both cousins and friends, had some landscaping done and were so proud of both girls being in the District Art Show. April was a happy month for the Cosby family.
