June means SUMMER

Summer began with a bang. We spent the month of June at basketball camp, birthday parties, babysitting our favorite dog Kee and at a Broadway production of Cinderella. We visited Grandpa at Exxon on Fathers Day, cooled down with Bahama Bucks multiple times and had our friends Brooklyn and Lexie visit for a few days from Tampa. We played dress-up, read lots of books, watched movies outside with friends and had sleepovers at Grammie and Grandpa's. The sun burned hot in June and we spent many many hours keeping cool at the pool with Leo and June and friends. We love the (somewhat) lazy-days of summer!

School is out for the summer....

The end of the school year is always busy busy and it just makes the beginning of summer break that much sweeter. We finished 3rd grade and Pre-K with multiple parties, picnics, friends and opportunities to get wet and cool. The girls have been blessed with great buddies and neighbors and we often go to bed too late and dirty and exhausted.  It's a welcome change!  Hooray for Summer 2015!

Brava!

It is no secret that I am a major fan of little girls dance classes. It is almost always my favorite day of the week and thankfully the girls are excited to put on their leotard each week too. Both Isabelle and Olivia have long pretty legs that are perfect for dancing and I may be their mother, but they show great potential for the future. This Spring the final production of the season was a medley of scenes from Giselle, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Isabelle danced the part as a young maiden in Giselle and loved having friends, Maddie and Ellie, in her class all semester. Olivia and buddy Annie danced as royal pages at Sleeping Beauties birthday party and loved being on stage with the Queen. Aunt Tara flew in for the performance and the girls loved having a fan in the audience.  She is always so good to support my girls and they are proud to share a love of dance with her.  It was a busy but fun weekend and a great end to the season.  Brava girls. Brava!

May May May

Why does May always seem like the busiest month of the year? The school year wraps up as well as Spring sports and dance and we find ourselves running to and from as fast as we can. We loved watching Isabelle present her GT project at the District Expo and the fact that she wore her leotard to present was the icing on the cake. We had fun watching Leo's first season in Tball, played kickball with the neighborhood, started swimming lessons and celebrated Mothers Day and my own mom's birthday! Ben and I snuck in a date to the Dave Matthews Band concert and we saw Isabelle's art in the District Art Show. Mostly we loved riding our bikes and being together as a family like usual. We survived another May and were mostly ready for June...
